It's a challenge for Australia to break new ground.

The highest peaks have long been mastered.

We're talking about the unit that has claimed seven Cricket World Cups, along with an additional six T20 titles, and previously enjoyed over three years undefeated in 50-over cricket.

It needed up to Sunday's three-wicket win over India for them to complete their first ODI chase above 300, reclaiming their record for the largest in the female 50-over format, is, honestly, a tribute to the bowling attack that have sported the yellow jersey over five decades.

"The possibility to go out there and engage in competition with her and just have a bit of fun in that aspect, sort of got me going," commented Healy.

She reached fifty in 35 balls - her fastest at the global tournament - and her hundred in 84 as she punished short deliveries, striking 21 boundaries and three maximums.

By the time she was dismissed the team needed 66 more at a run-a-ball - an unconquered height now demanding an easy conclusion.

"Pursuing 330 is unfamiliar ground so I am glad we have the confidence to achieve that now," added Healy.

"Hopefully we don't have to do it another time but, if we do, we know we can succeed."

These statements will be the ultimate thing Australia's opponents at this World Cup need to hear.

Over the past five days a feeling they will succeed regardless of circumstances has only strengthened - this success succeeding victory over Pakistan by 107 run margin despite struggling at 76-7 at a certain moment.

Subsequently Australia meet Bangladesh before an encounter with longtime competitors England in Indore in a week and a half, by which point a semi-final place may well be secure.
